Who doesn’t love browsing through local home stores? Although you can always go to Pottery Barn or IKEA, there’s something extra special about shopping at local stores.
Portland is my hometown, so I know all the best Portland home stores.
Whether you’re on the hunt for furniture for your new apartment or just looking for a gift for your favorite home decor lover, these Portland stores are worth checking out.
Rerun
707 NE Fremont St Portland, Oregon 97212
Rerun is the perfect store if you love a good treasure hunt. They sell vintage and thrifted home goods, so you’ll never know what you can come across at this store.
Their prices are reasonable too, plus they have an OfferUp page where they list many of their finds so that you can preview items and prices before you visit.
City Liquidators
823 SE 3rd Avenue Portland, OR 97214
For more budget-friendly (yet still luxurious) finds, City Liquidators is a great store to check out during your search.
Although it’s not amazingly affordable, they have a large selection of luxurious furniture at better prices than you’d find at designer stores.
Urbanite
1005 SE Grand Ave Portland, OR 97214
Urbanite sells everything from antique pieces to the trendiest new items, with a variety of fun whole-room displays to check out.
This store hosts 50+ makers and curators of furniture and decor, so their collection is truly impressive. With so many different styles and pieces, you can find a little something for everyone here.
The Good Mod
1313 W Burnside St 4th floor, Portland, OR 97209
A huge 20,000 squate-foot store dedicated to modern furniture and home decor, you can’t go wrong here if you’re a modern decor fan. You can also shop their newest items online to see if their prices and styles are a good fit before you stop in.
The Good Mod also offers custom furniture design and other services in case you want a new piece that’s as unique as can be.
Lounge Lizard
1426 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97214
Another vintage store that Portland locals are obsessed with, Lounge Lizard sells vintage finds as well as some of their own hand-crafted wood furniture pieces.
They have a little bit of everything, so you can be sure to find something that catches your eye. Prices vary depending on the brand and item, but they do have some reasonable prices considering how unique their decor and furniture typically are.
Midnight Sunlight
338 SE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97214
For one-of-a-kind vintage finds, Midnight Sunlight is one of my favorite Portland home stores to visit. They tend to curate the best and most sought-out home finds, which also means pretty high prices.
Most of their pieces aren’t for the budget home shopper, but we still recommend stopping by to browse through their beautiful pieces.
Spartan
1210 SE Grand Ave, Portland, OR 97214
If you want gorgeous designer finds you won’t see anywhere else and have $1,000+ to spend on each item, browse through Spartan.
This Portland home decor store is truly beautiful, it’s fun to browse through even if you can’t afford to buy anything. Their furniture is especially incredible, with incredibly unique pieces from top designers.
City Home
Multiple locations
A popular local Portland store for furniture, City Home has a few locations around the area (including an outlet in the Central Eastside area).
From furniture to small trinkets, they have everything you need to spruce up your home at mid-range prices. We’d definitely recommend checking out the outlet for better prices.
Legacy Modern
2105 SE 7th Ave, Portland, OR 97214
For thrifted mid-century finds (as well as some other styles), don’t forget to stop by Legacy Modern.
This family-owned business is constantly searching for quality and unique furniture, typically offering a wide variety of furniture items. You can also shop their finds on Chairish!
Cargo
81 SE Yamhill St, Portland, OR 97214
Cargo is a cute store that sells everything you can imagine, from clothing to furniture to craft supplies. Despite offering such a large variety of items, they still have a wonderful selection of furniture and home decor.
This store is especially unique because they curate the best finds from vendors and merchants worldwide. Best of all, their prices are on the more affordable spectrum compared to some other stores we’ve shared.
Hive
820 NW Glisan St, Portland, OR 97209
Hive is a gorgeous store to find luxury and designer home goods. They focus on modern decor styles, so you’re sure to find one-of-a-kind pieces that will truly stand out in your home.
This store sells pieces from various top home designers such as Herman Miller, Kartell, Bensen, and plenty more.
Woonwinkel
935 SW Washington St, Portland, OR 97205
The name might sound silly, but trust me, this store is worth checking out. They specialize in fun and vibrant home goods, so expect plenty of fun colors and unique designs.
Their styles are perfect for a fun gift or to add a pop of color to your decor!
Canoe
1233 SW 10th Ave, Portland, OR 97205
Established in 2005, Canoe is another great home decor store to check out in Portland.
Their selection of furniture isn’t the largest, but they’re still a great spot for smaller decor finds. They sell top brands and even have some Canoe-exclusive items that you can only buy there.
