If you’re looking to lower your waste or even go zero waste, reusable silicone bags are one helpful product to add to your kitchen. Having tried both Stasher and alternative brands, I’ll be sharing a Stasher bag review to help you see if this brand is worth it!

My Stasher Bag Review
To compare quality, I purchased a couple of bags from Stasher as well as three knockoff packs from Amazon that were much cheaper. Here are the two other products I purchased:
Quality 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As I expected, Stasher is the best quality compared to the other two packs I purchased. They’re made of the highest quality silicone and just feel like a thick, high-end product.
However, this doesn’t mean the SPLF and Gorilla Grip were bad. If I was on a strict budget, I would be perfectly fine with these alternatives. They’re great quality – the only thing I noticed was that they feel a bit thinner.
The only thing I recommend when shopping for cheaper alternatives is to make sure it’s made of food-grade, BPA-free silicone. You can also check to see if they’re dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe like Stasher.
Stasher is also free of BPS, lead, latex, and phthalates. So, you might want to see if these are mentioned in any alternatives you consider as well.
I will mention that Stasher is a definite guarantee that your bags are non-toxic. With other brands, it’s hard to say i
Price Rating: 3/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The price point of Stasher is the biggest downside. While you do get the best quality out there, it still seems overly expensive.
Since their 4-pack is nearly $50, it can be very hard to afford these if you’re on a budget or you use a lot of them. I love to freeze things like veggies, fruit, and leftovers, so I definitely can’t afford to buy the amount of Stasher bags I want to. Trying to use less waste shouldn’t be so expensive!
Luckily, the cheaper knockoff products are significantly more affordable (I paid less than $20 for the two 12-packs I purchased) and they work great.
Overall 6/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall, I do love Stasher bags, but they’re just so expensive. They would receive 10 stars from me if the price wasn’t important!
Bottom Line
While Stasher brand bags are definitely excellent quality, I wouldn’t necessarily pick the brand over cheaper knockoff reusable food storage bags. I’ve purchased a few alternatives that are great quality with a much cheaper price point.
But, if you’re comfortable shelling out $10+ per bag for Stasher or you don’t need a lot of bags, the brand is definitely worth it!
